Die Presse über mich

Dance of flowers

Sofie Papadopoulou is an artist who has passionately devoted herself to watercolor painting. Originally her dream was to become a dancer, but this dream never came true. "Art is my life!" says the young artist. For them, the exhibition means the opportunity to present their own creative design to a broad audience.

"The Dance of Flowers is my first exhibition and I am very happy that I was given this opportunity in the premises of the media library." Of course, the representation of flower painting is an old topic. All the more she hopes to be able to present this topic in a new, surprising way. “My exhibition should be like a journey of discovery for the visitor. The art that I show has to be good. It should appeal to people, arouse their curiosity. Even in the age of the Internet, an exhibition remains a very potent medium. "

Sofie Papadopoulou reports on the nature of her work: “My painting belongs more to the area of classic watercolor painting to semi-abstract. I am happy when visitors stand in front of an exhibit and understand what it is about. Every artist wants to express something with his art. Even if my watercolors are beautiful to look at, they have a message: that is the fragility and transience of nature in all its forms. Man is part of it. "

The exhibition is from 04.02. Can be viewed until March 1st, 2019 during the opening hours of the media library. These are: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m., and Tue, Thu, Sat 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Beyond the hustle and bustle

Beyond the hustle and bustle and away from anything happening, there is a magical exhibition

Sofie Papadopoulou has been exhibiting her watercolors in the rooms of the media library since May 25, 2020. The artist has loved art for as long as she can remember. She describes each petal like a little world of its own. The cycle of life in particular has a magical effect, which she wants to reproduce in her watercolors. The pictures appear free and playful. For Sofie Papadopoulou, watercolor painting is a lifelong journey that she would like to share with visitors during the exhibition.

The paintings can be seen during the opening hours of the media library until June 26th, 2020.
